RESEARCH
I am a postdoctoral research associate in the Letelier lab at Oregon State University. My primary research is an exploration of how phosphorus, carbon and nitrogen fluxes are regulated by diazotrophic organisms. This project has been conducted in collaboration with the NSF-funded Center for Microbial Oceanography: Research and Education (C-MORE). Additionally, I am working on a project led by Fred Prahl at OSU that seeks to develop an in situ biomarker approach to assay organism specific contributions to primary productivity and particle export. See the Research Projects page (to the left) to learn more about my work. When not torturing cyanobacteria in the laboratory, I can be found playing outside (mountain biking, running, etc.) or staring into a microscope.
